Douglas County, GA, Implements Carbyne Next Gen 911 Platform to Bring its Emergency Service Systems into the Digital Age

Carbyne’s Advanced 9-1-1 Plugin, c-Lite, will Deliver Live Video Calls and Real-
Time, Hyper-accurate Location Tracking to Douglas County


[Douglasville, GA, April 1, 2019] – Carbyne, a global leader in public safety
communication, has been selected by Douglas County, Georgia to implement its
next-generation 9-1-1 technology into the county’s emergency services systems to
improve emergency response for citizens. This implementation follows a three-month
pilot period where 911 staff tried Carbyne’s c-Lite solution to assess the usability and
reliability, with positive results.

Carbyne’s c-Lite is a plugin that can be simply installed to upgrade legacy 9-1-1
systems. c-Lite will enable Douglas County telecommunicators to:

– Receive device-based location for 911 and non-emergency calls,
– Receive call-taker enabled video streams from callers, and
– Instant message with citizens in situations where verbal communications may
be untenable.

The cost-effective c-Lite platform is easy for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs)
to implement and simple for dispatchers to use. c-Lite sits on existing systems and
does not require PSAPs to replace current technology.
