International Security & Defense Systems (ISDS) and Carbyne Announce Cooperation on Security Service Technology for Giro d’Italia Bicycle Race 2018
Collaboration will ensure thousands of participants and guests are provided with highest level of security via advanced technology systems
[Tel Aviv, Israel, May 4, 2018]– ISDS, a multinational security company, has teamed up with Carbyne, the leaders in next-generation 911 for the digital age, to provide state-of-the-art security services for the renowned Giro d’Italia 2018 Grand Tour bicycle race scheduled this year for Jerusalem on May 4th.
Carbyne, an Israeli technology company, has developed a comprehensive emergency communications system, enabling first response and rescue services to better manage and prioritize incoming emergency calls through new technologies comprised of mobile texting, live stream video and web-based information platforms, providing critical real-time data, precise location and crucial communication to first responders.
ISDS was appointed to lead the security arrangements for two international events taking place in Israel: the European Judo Championship and the Giro d’Italia bicycle race. ISDS chose to team up with Carbyne and utilize their advanced emergency response platform to further upgrade reporting from personnel in charge of security services.
“We are very excited to collaborate with ISDS and provide all its team members with a ‘personal security tool’ including the most advanced, unique technology we’ve developed to ensure the highest level of security for the event,” said Amir Elichai, Founder and CEO of Carbyne. “We are proud to be part of such a major sporting attraction, in addition to our day to day activities bolstering safety in cities and countries throughout the world.”
ISDS is in charge of securing all team members and athletes from international delegations arriving for both tournaments, as well as the spectators watching the competitions. As part of the cooperation between the two companies, ISDS will provide all of its personnel deployed over different tournament sites and along points on the Giro d’Italia route with a unique personal emergency button on smart devices that when pressed sends a direct video link with precise coordinates directly to the ISDS service center. In addition, the security guards will have the capability to text with a service operator in case for any reason they are unable to speak. These capabilities will allow the service center to provide all participants and spectators with the most appropriate, timely response. Security staff can even utilize these reporting capabilities in areas with low reception and inside closed spaces, thanks to proprietary technology developed by Carbyne.
Carbyne technology will allow participants to not only report directly to the ISDS hotline but also, should the need arise, to Israeli emergency services like the Israel Police Department, the Fire Department, MADA emergency services and municipal services.
The joint effort follows a similar cooperative effort between ISDS and Carbyne during the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 tournament which ended with great success. In that instance, ISDS also provided its security personnel with the Carbyne emergency button which resulted in 100% accuracy in reporting and a 65% reduction in reporting times along with improved user experience for security guards who communicated with security headquarters.
