In this role, you will drive M&A activities and investments, evaluate market forecasts and long-term trends, collect competitive intelligence, drive cross-functional business processes, and maintain business model innovation. Here’s what you’ll be working on:

  • Build and execute a strategy for corporate development by analyzing our current state, assessing opportunities for improvement, and innovating to ensure predictable, repeatable, and scalable results that attract and delight customers, drive revenue growth, and increase profitability
  • Lead acquisitions and investments in new businesses, as well as execute divestments and divestiture
  • Develop a pipeline of corporate development opportunities: tracking, valuing, negotiating, executing, and following through to internal integration
  • Collaborate with the CEO, the executive leadership team, and key internal stakeholders to align to the company’s strategic vision, expand the product’s global capabilities, and drive steadfast performance
  • Act as a consultant for internal cross-functional teams through integration processes, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Finance, People, Legal, and other functions that touch these teams
  • Instill a customer-first culture centered around placing Carbyne customers at the forefront of every business decision
  • Analyze market dynamics, market share changes, product line performance, and competitive intelligence
  • Identify key capital projects, joint ventures, potential M&A targets, and other strategic partnership opportunities, as well as strategic risks
  • Communicate strategy effectively throughout the company
  • Ensure suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress
  • Monitor execution of business initiatives
Requirements
  • Experience in a corporate development segment of the business for a growing organization, with a broad understanding of all corporate development functions and how they work together to maximize growth
  • Experience effectively communicating strategic objectives and action plans to multiple teams across a variety of functions
  • Experience working within the tech/SaaS industry
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to work with colleagues across multiple disciplines and in geographically dispersed locations
  • Proven success in evaluating, executing, and integrating acquisitions
  • The ability to set a vision, execute on a strategy, and roll up your sleeves and get into the details when necessary
