About the role

As a Professional Services Engineer, you will be in charge of the design, implementation and deployment of Carbyne's national real-time emergency communication platform, leading the most advanced public safety technology for emergency infrastructure. You will lead the on-boarding for national first responders in Latin America.

As part of this diverse role, you will be responsible for activities ranging from pre-sale support to post sale deployments. You will be leading onsite installation and remote upgrades of Carbyne's PBX and call taking platform, and you will also play an important role in the customers’ site and system architecture by combining Carbyne’s best practices and your strong technical experience.

You will work closely with sales and marketing teams as well as with product and engineering teams to deliver your customers the best solution.


Here’s what you’ll be working on:

  • Plan and design end-to-end project deployment activities
  • Provide and/or coordinate off-hour installation and post-implementation support as needed
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of installation processes and support documentation
  • Provide quality service to customers and partners
  • Work closely with customers to provide advanced technical training/knowledge transfer of each customer deployment
  1. Proven knowledge and experience in networking, the OSI model, and 1-7 Network Layers
  2. Deep understanding of and knowledge in VoIP and Streaming Technologies such as: SIP, RTSP, RTMP, SIP-to-PSTN gateways, SIP Trunk, Wowza, WebRTC
  3. Strong understanding of Windows systems and internals: batch scripting, services, etc.
  4. Experience with configuring routers and firewalls (Cisco or Fortigate)
  5. Knowledge of proxy servers
  6. Project management experience – demonstrated experience in change management projects
  7. Highly organized and detail-oriented
  8. Ability to drive results effectively for multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
  9. An outstanding analytical thinker and problem solver, comfortable working in data analytics, and able to resolve complex problems independently
  10. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior leaders
  11. Possesses high motivation, enthusiasm, and dedication to deliver results within strict time frames
  12. Fluent English
  13. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Bonus points for:

  1. Strong understanding of Linux
  2. Experience with Cisco PBX deployment and/or support
