Description

The Solution Architect position is a technical role responsible for providing guidance and consulting on client facing solutions leveraging the Carbyne’s call handling systems in a variety of operational schemes in government and private sector use cases. 

As a Solution Architect at Carbyne you will be responsible for assisting the sales cycle as well as to the operations department by designing end to end solutions including Carbyne’s products as well as integration to 3rd party solutions.

The Solution Architect participates in both services pre-sales and delivery activities on strategic engagements for clients and with partners to provide optimal and comprehensive solutions, writing technical specs, system and flow diagrams collaborating and performing research for different technologies and solution together with our R&D and CTO departments.

You will work independently, within a small technical team, or with a global technical team in delivering the appropriate solution to Carbyne’s customers and partners.

You will join a passionate team and will be able to innovate, influence, transform, inspire and grow within the Global Operations organization.

You will work closely with Sales and Marketing teams as well as with Product and Engineering ones to deliver your customers the best solution with professional experience. 

You will participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of integrations.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Define, at an architectural and design level of detail, technical solutions aligned with our client’s business problems (leveraging Carbyne’s cloud solution with customers’ existing architecture and according to local regulations)
  2. Assist Carbyne’s regional Partners with scoping complex deployment solutions typically involving multiple products, networks and complex integrations with client applications/systems
  3. Work with our Sales team on new opportunities to understand customer objectives and provide continuity for architecture and roadmap exercises, including technical Specs, Build of Materials and detailed architecture diagrams and flows
  4. Prepare model RFPs and response to customer RFPs
  5. Perform research on different technologies or other vendor solutions in context of client requirements for integration
  6. Provide thought leadership and ensure that customer engagements are aligned to Carbyne’s Implementation Best Practices
  7. Provide hands on assistance with the detailed design and implementation approach of selected engagements
  8. Demonstrate product and technical leadership on Carbyne’s projects with customers and partners
  9. Assist delivery teams with deploying technical solutions, developing code and resolving technical issues as required

Requirements
  1. Architectural mindset – the ability to view the solution in multiple levels and from multiple viewpoints.
  2. Extensive experience in a Professional Services environment engaging with executive stakeholders, solution architects and extended program teams
  3. Vast experience with AWS and Azure Cloud Platform and Automation
  4. Cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / platform as a service (PaaS), microservices, Docker containers
  5. Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering and designing and implementing solutions 
  6. Fundamental experience with Cisco collaboration solutions, deployment and best practices.
  7. Proven knowledge and experience in networking and full knowledge of the OSI model and deep understanding of 1-7 Network Layers- must!
  8. Deep understanding and knowledge in VoIP and Streaming Technologies: SIP, RTSP, RTMP, SIP-to-PSTN gateways, SIP Trunk, WebRTC
  9. Experience with configuring routers and firewalls
  10. AWS certifications – an advantage
  11. Cisco Unified Communications background (UCCE/UCCX/CUCM) - Mandatory
  12. Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP in Collaboration, Routing & Switching or Security) – at least one is mandatory 
  13. Experience with Esinet and I3 Protocol – an advantage
  14. Must be flexible to work with global teams and working on different time zones
  15. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate technical details in a clear and understandable manner
  16. Ability to handle and overcome objections in both a pre-sales and engagement delivery context
  17. Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
  18. Ability to work in an international, fast-growing environment
  19. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
