Description

Carbyne is looking for a Freelance Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products (2-3 times a week).

Responsibilities:

1.Own an end-to-end documentation creation process.

2.Work with product managers, product marketing, and engineers to maintain world-class documentation, such as: User Manuals, Release notes, API Developer Guides, Product documentation (tooltips, captions, etc.).

3.Deliver high-quality documentation paying attention to detail

4.Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

5.Analyze current content and make improvements as necessary

Requirements

1.3+ years of technical writing experience. Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation

2.Strong written and verbal communications, with excellent written skills in English (Spanish is a big advantage)

3.Experience working cross-departmentally to communicate the nuts and bolts of a product.

4.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.

5.A positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges.

6.Experience working with the following tools preferred: Confluence/JIRA, Mixpanel.

7.Capable of learning complex concepts, and communicating the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.

8.Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
